Upcoming change to Web Search pricing

Starting October 15, 2026 at 12:00 PM PT, Web Search tool calls (web_search) made through the Norvane API will be billed per item returned instead of per tool call. This aligns Web Search billing with how Norvane’s search providers charge for read queries.

Pricing for all other models and tools on the Norvane API remains unchanged.

What you need to do

• No code changes are required. Existing web_search calls keep working.
• Review your organization’s current Web Search usage to estimate the effect of the change.
• To cap what a single call can return, set max_results on the tool. The parameter is covered in the Web Search tool documentation.
• The full price list shows every model and tool rate.
