Your account has been activated on the Free plan, and you’re almost ready to go.

Sonora is a voice API for placing and receiving calls with voice agents. Here’s what’s included and how to make your first call.

1. Verify a domain

Start by verifying a domain in your dashboard, where you manage domains. Calls cannot be placed until a domain is verified.

2. Create an API key

Create your key under account settings. It’s shown only once, so copy it and store it securely before leaving the page.

3. Place your first call

Send a POST request to /v1/calls with your API key as a bearer token and a JSON body containing from, to, and agent. Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key and adapt these example values:
