Write a product announcement email from Sableforge introducing Flat Rate Edge to Pro teams. Cover the facts below.
Flat Rate Edge is a fixed monthly price for the Sableforge edge network, its CDN. It is available now to all Pro teams.
Until now, Pro teams paid for the edge network on usage: $0.15 per GB of edge transfer and $2.00 per million edge requests, so the bill moved with traffic. With Flat Rate Edge, a Pro team pays $40 per month for the edge network, and the price does not change with traffic. It includes traffic spike protection: when traffic bursts above a team's usual level, the monthly bill stays at $40.
A team enables Flat Rate Edge from Team Settings, under Billing, at https://sableforge.s3.amazonaws.com/settings/billing
The announcement post at https://sableforge.s3.amazonaws.com/blog/introducing-flat-rate-edge explains the change in full. Reading the announcement is the main action of the email; enabling it is the secondary one.
Reference artwork: assets.illustrations.flatRateEdgeChart, with assets.illustrations.flatRateEdgeChartDark as its dark-mode twin. The email opens with the logo, then the chart, then the announcement. The old usage prices and the new $40 flat price are shown side by side as a before/after comparison, old first.
The email is signed by the Sableforge team.
