Write the welcome email Sonora sends when a developer's account is activated on the Free plan. Sonora is a voice API for placing and receiving calls with voice agents. The recipient signed up for a Sonora account a few minutes ago and has not verified a domain, created an API key, or placed a call yet.
The email opens by welcoming the developer to Sonora and confirming the account has been activated and is almost ready to go. As a reminder, the Free plan includes:
- 1,000 voice minutes per month, 60 per day
- 1 verified domain
- 1 API key
- 1 day of call log retention
- 1 inbound number
- Ticket support
Three setup steps follow, in this order:
- Verify a domain. Calls cannot be placed until a domain is verified. Domains are managed at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/dashboard
- Create an API key. Keys are created under account settings at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/settings and are shown once.
- Place a first call. The request is a POST to /v1/calls with the API key as a bearer token and a JSON body carrying from, to, and agent; the example uses +1 555 0100, +1 555 0199, and the agent greeter. The outbound calling guide is at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/telephony/outbound
Show the Free plan inclusions as one bulleted list and the call request as a code block.
The Getting Started Guide at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs is the resource to lean on while setting up. The primary call to action is to verify a domain, linking to https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/dashboard
After the call to action, one line notes that developers who want to call without limits can review everything the paid plans offer at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/subscription
The footer carries the copyright line for 2026 and Sonora, Inc., the postal address, a link to the blog at https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/blog, and links to https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/privacy, https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/terms, and https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/unsubscribe
Dark mode should be supported.
Use /world/sonora-email for brand chrome and CSS. Use the absolute HTTPS URLs from tokens.json; do not use /world/ paths as image src.
Leave the HTML in output/email.html, a plain-text version in output/email.txt, and the subject in output/meta.json as {"subject": "..."}. Don't include From, To, or Date headers.
