Write the first email in a three-part onboarding series from Sonora, the voice-agent company, sent by its co-founder Ines Halloran to people who just created a Sonora account. The email is titled Welcome to Sonora!
The email is a personal letter, not a campaign layout: the Sonora wordmark, one main heading welcoming the reader to Sonora, a greeting, then the letter. The opening paragraph announces that this is the first of three emails Ines will send to help the reader start building voice agents with Sonora. The next paragraph says the reader is minutes away from creating their first voice agent and that Sonora customers are already building agents that offer 24/7 customer support in multiple languages, provide personalized concierge services, make outbound sales calls, and lots more.
A screenshot of the Sonora console follows the intro: the agent builder with its prompt pane and a Test agent session. Reference artwork: assets.illustrations.consoleAgentDemo
Three quickstarts follow, in this order, each with its own short description and its own link:
- Agent quickstart: create your first voice agent in 2 minutes with no code. Step-by-step instructions to create and test an agent in the browser using the Sonora console. This is the main action of the email. https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/quickstart/agent
- 2-minute quickstart: add voice AI to a web application. The quickest way to see how the Sonora SDK adds real-time voice conversations to a web app; the reader needs only a Sonora API key to drop into the provided HTML file. https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/quickstart/web
- 3-minute quickstart: make an outbound voice call. A reader with a connected phone number can start making outbound calls with their Sonora agent today, using the sample code plus their own telephony details and Sonora API key. https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/quickstart/outbound-call
A plans and pricing section follows: calls started from the Test agent button in the console are unlimited and free, so the reader can take as long as they need to tune their prompt. Every new Sonora account also includes 30 minutes of free calls to use once Sonora is integrated with an application, phone number, or website. After the free minutes, calls cost $0.05 per minute on the Pay As You Go plan, and paid subscription plans that raise usage limits and remove hard caps on call concurrency are also available. The letter closes by pointing the reader to support@sonora.com for feature requests, more evaluation time, or ideas, says Sonora is glad to have them along, and is signed Ines, with the line Ines Halloran, Co-founder, Sonora.
The source series carries several competing calls to action. Keep every link, but give the email one clear primary action.
The footer states that the recipient created a Sonora account, gives the postal address and the copyright line, and links to https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/docs, https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/community, https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/help, https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/privacy, https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/terms, and https://sonora-email.s3.amazonaws.com/unsubscribe
